Welcome to Soccer Trak! This quick guide gets you up and running fast so you can focus on the beautiful game, not the admin. Track goals, assists, shots, tackles, cards, and player participation in real time with ease.

⚡ Fast Setup Path: Teams ➕ Add → Save. Then open team → Players ➕ Add → Save. Then Games ➕ Add → choose teams → Save. You’re tracking in minutes!

What You’ll Do First

Three simple steps to game-ready:

1. Teams — Create your Home team and any opponent teams you want to track.
2. Players — Add jersey numbers and last names so stats can be assigned in a flash during the game.
3. Games — Create the game, pick Home & Visitor, then start tracking live.

Before You Start

• Have team names ready.
• Have each player’s jersey number and last name ready.
• Know which team is Home and which is Visitor.
• For the smoothest experience, add players before kickoff.

Step 1: Create Your Teams

• Open Soccer Trak and tap Teams in the menu bar.
• Tap the ➕ Add button in the top-right corner.
• Enter the Team Name (required).
• Enter Location if you want to track where the team is from (optional).
• Enter Team Type (school, club, rec, varsity, JV, etc.) — optional.
• Tap Save.

👉 Tip: Create your own team first. Then add common opponent teams as you need them. Your new team will appear in the list — tap any team later to edit or delete.

Team Setup Fields

Field	Required?	What to enter
Team Name	Yes	The name shown in game setup and stat tracking.
Location	No	City, school, field, or area.
Team Type	No	Varsity, JV, club, rec, travel, etc.

Edit or delete a team: From the Teams list, tap the team name to open it. Make changes and tap Save, or delete if no longer needed.

Step 2: Add Players to a Team

1. Go to Teams and select the team you want to update.
2. Tap the Players icon.
3. Tap ➕ Add to create a player.
4. Enter the Jersey Number (required) — this becomes your lightning-fast tap button on game day!
5. Enter the player Last Name (required).
6. Tap Save and repeat until your roster is complete.

👉 Pro tip: Players are sorted by jersey number. Accurate numbers make game-day tracking dramatically faster. Double-check duplicates before saving!

Player Setup Fields

Field	Required?	Why it matters
Jersey Number	Yes	This is the button you tap during the game before logging any stat. Make it count!
Last Name	Yes	Helps identify the player on the swap screen and roster during substitutions.

Best practice: Add opponent players too if you want detailed visitor stats. Don’t wait until the whistle blows!

Step 3: Schedule or Start a Game

1. Tap Games in the menu bar.
2. Tap ➕ Add.
3. Enter the Game Title (required) — e.g. “Lindale vs Tyler • District Match”.
4. Enter Date & Time (required).
5. Enter Location if desired (optional).
6. Choose the Home Team (required).
7. Choose the Opponent / Visitor Team (optional but recommended).
8. Tap Save to create the game and begin tracking!

⚽ Game-day reminder: Set up teams and players first. The live game screen is much more enjoyable when your roster is already loaded and ready.

Step 4: Track Stats During the Game

Main Game Action Screen — Your command center on the pitch!

Correct Tap Order (Always do this!)

Tap Home or Vis → Tap the player ## → Tap the stat/action button.

• Choose Home or Vis on the left side of the screen.
• Tap the player’s jersey number on the left.
• Tap the stat button: Goals, Assists, Shots, Tackles Won, Saves, Yellow Card, Red Card and more.
• Review the Play by Play area at the bottom to confirm it logged.
• Use Undo right away if you make a mistake.

Game Controls

• Use the + and – score buttons near each team to adjust the score.
• Use ▶ Play, ⏸ Pause, and ⏹ Stop to manage the game clock.
• Enter the current Half in the box.
• Soccer Trak auto-saves during the game — just play!

Step 5: Swap Active Players

Player Swap Screen

• On the game screen, tap the yellow 🔄 swap/refresh icon at the bottom-left under the active player list.
• Use this screen whenever players substitute in or out.

Understand the Colors

Border Color	Meaning
Green border	Active Home player — currently on the pitch
Red border	Active Visitor player — currently on the pitch
No border	Inactive player or substitute — ready to enter

How to Swap a Player

• Find the active player who is leaving and tap them to remove the green/red border.
• Find the inactive player entering and tap them to activate (correct border color appears).
• Check the Active Players count for Home and Visitors.
• Tap the green ✅ check mark to save the swap, or red ❌ to cancel.

Quick Game-Day Checklist ✅

• Teams are created
• Players added with correct jersey numbers and last names
• Game created with correct Home team and Visitor team
• Half is entered before tracking starts
• Clock is started when the game begins
• For every stat: Home/Vis → player ## → action button
• Use Play by Play to review entries
• Use Undo right away if a stat was entered incorrectly
• Use the swap icon when active players change
• Confirm substitutions with the green check mark
